He has been engaged in the research of the policies and regulations on sea transport,

shipping and port administration, particularly in the transport of dangerous goods,

port development and passenger transport by sea for a long time in which he has accumulated a certain amount of knowledge and experience. He has participated in the formulation or amendment of many transport and production safety laws, regulations and rules, such as the formulation or revision of fireworks, explosive and dangerous chemicals and other dangerous goods. He has in charge of the revision of national standards ¡°The List of Dangerous Goods¡± (GB12268) and ¡°The Dangerous Goods Classification and the List¡± (GB6944). He is now the honorary vice chairman of the Transport of Dangerous Goods Committee and Ship Pollution Prevention Committee of China Maritime Association. He attended the United Nations Conference on Transport of Dangerous Goods as the Chinese experts many times and he also once attended the working group meeting for the fireworks default classification in the United Nations.
