Notification on transport of fireworks export

To all members of IFA:
At present, Safety Production Committee of Beihai has sent out a notice: from 7th August Beihai Port will stop transport of fireworks and firecrackers which except Guangxi local area. Thus, the export channels of fireworks involved in a ¨”backwater¨•.
IFA has organized a series of activities for relaxing the export channels of fireworks:
¢ñ11th to 12th July, IFA organized 146 fireworks enterprises to signed and autographed jointly and then submitted an application of bedin to Public Security Bureau of Liuyang, Changsha and Guangzhou respectively, and planned to reflecting the industry difficulties in a legal channel. The application hasn¡¯t got the approved reply, but effectively reflected the industry difficulties and the large request of fireworks enterprises and aroused the high attention of Hunan Provincial Government and Ministry of Public Security, Zhou Qiang, Stadholder of Hunan Province stated that he will appear personally for coordinate the difficulty of fireworks export. Ministry of Public Security also sent out researching group to Liuyang for understanding the problem of fireworks export.
¢ò At the middle of July, IFA organized 146 fireworks enterprises signed jointly and planned to proceed against relevant department of Guangzhou Municipal Government for urging the reopening of Nansha Port by a legal approach. Recently, all the documents of indictment and the lawyer are in full preparation, we could put it to proceeding at any time. Considering the reply of Zhou Qiang and the Olympic is coming that the indictment activity can not appeal the attention and support from the media, therefore, our association decided to respite the indictment but keep the right for it at any time.
¢ó On 24th July A.M, taken the commission of fireworks export enterprises and four associations of main production regions, IFA sent out representatives to submitted the Letter to the higher authorities which signed by 188 fireworks enterprises and another Request on coordinate the export channels for fireworks which written by the fireworks associations from Liuyang, Linling, Wanzai, Shangli and IFA jointly, they submitted these formal letters to the Sate Bureau for Letters and Calls and they also told the difficulties of fireworks export arisen nowadays to them, and proposed the request to the State Council for relaxing the export channels of fireworks. After that, the Sate Bureau for Letters and Calls pay much attention to it, they also understood and verified the relevant details from Ministry of Communication.
¢ô Ministry of Communication is submitting the report to the State Council and ask them to sending out clear request to Nansha and other ports for reopening the business of fireworks and ensure the export channels smoothly. At present, the report of MOC is signing by the relevant ministries and commissions.
At present, all the ports are closed, but our association together with governments, industry associations and majority enterprises of main production regions has replied for it actively, we reflected the industry difficulty to the State Council and relevant departments by different approach and these series of activities aroused the attention of authorities in the State Council, therefore, we should keep the confidence in fireworks export will recover to a smooth channels.
