Distinguished guests ladies and gentlemen,

Good morning! The biennial conference constitutes one of the most satisfying pageants, and I have been looking forward to it over the past two years because it is not only a significant festival for the IFA but also a communication forum for the international fireworks industry. Today, releasing ourselves from busy work with the same aspiration to come to the scenic Liuyang River bank. We have gathered here from all over the world, greeting each other in all earnest. Together we have reflected on the achievements of the IMF over the past two years and expected a bright future for the Association and the fireworks industry. Here, on behalf of the Executive Committee, I¡¯d like to extend my sincere thanks to the leaders at all levels and the friends from all walks of life who have been caring for and supporting the development of the IFA and to send my warm welcome and cordial greetings to all our members.

Though a young industrial organization, the IFA is full of vigor and vitality. For the past two years, the IFA, committed to its mission of ¡°making the fireworks safer, making the world happier¡± and its motto of ¡°intercommunion, cooperation, self-discipline, and self-reliance¡±, has always been serving its member units and the industry as a whole. For instance, confronted with restrictions imposed on seaports, we took positive, reasonable and effective measures to safeguard its interests. When faced with irregular conduct, we proposed industrial self-discipline to ensure its safety. And we provided timely assistance to our member units and other enterprises in trouble. Through our pragmatic work and high efficiency, we have won wide recognition and appreciation from the international fireworks industry, exerting ever greater influence. In 2008, the IFA became an observer with consulting status in TDG&GHS of the United Nations, and since then it has been able to voice the concerns of fireworks industry.

At the annual conference that inherits the past and ushers in the future, the accomplishments belong to yesterday and the road ahead is arduous. Endowed with the responsibility to maintain the steady development of the industry through the IFA, we must contribute to its sound growth with strenuous efforts. Dear friends, the scenic Xihu Mountain just lies behind our assembly room, and the IFA advances gradually like a climber. Therefore let¡¯s make full preparations to realize our next dream. On reaching the new peak, we will be proud to cheer for our success.
